Forever Farmhouse

About the Project

When this family purchased their home three years ago, they fell in love with the quirks and compartments that came with an 1842 build. However, quirkiness only gets a family so far, and they soon needed more space to enjoy outside of their busy schedules. With assistance from IN/EX Architecture P.C., Hamilton Stern designed and built the 1,200 square foot master suite addition, while completely renovating their kitchen and breezeway entrance. Floors were set to level, and reclaimed beams were used as the kitchen’s vaulted ceiling feature. An enhanced, functional quirkiness remains, while the master suite oasis beckons in this forever home.
